Andrew Craggs

Managing Director

Andrew Craggs is the Managing Director and founder of the ECS Group.

He has been involved in the commercial finance industry for the past 34 years. Initially working in the City of London then moving to work in Cornwall he returned to his native Yorkshire to join a division of the Royal Bank of Scotland as Regional Manager for the North East of England. His career has seen him assisting  start up, growth and turnaround businesses across the UK and Europe working across all secotrs of trade.

“Business finance has been my passion since leaving education and I have been privileged to work with many clients that I have assisted from their birth to maturity. I recognised that the business finance market was changing rapidly and that business business owners struggled to keep pace with the changes in finance available. Setting up ECS Group was the best way in which I could assist clients to find and secure essential working capital and cashflow finance for their business.”

“I am delighted to now be working with both my children, Hannah and Jordan, making it a proper family business.”

Away from the office Andrew has a love of travelling (in particular the Loire Valley in France), enjoys fine food and good wine, walking with his labrador Bramble and spending time with his family. He promises to start playing golf again but he has been saying that for 20 years!

Jordan Craggs

Business Development Manager

Jordan joined ECS Group part-time at the end of 2020, initially to cover Hannah’s maternity leave. However, he showed such promise that he is now a full-time member of staff, working towards becoming a Business Development Manager.

Before joining ECS, he completed a level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration at a local Doctor’s surgery, and then went on to complete his level 3 at a print and packaging company.

“I had recently been made redundant due to the coronavirus pandemic, when this job opportunity came up. It was perfect timing and has developed into much more than I ever could have imagined. I have been able to bring my skills from the apprenticeships into the business; and have also learnt so much more during my training. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me at ECS Group.”

Outside of work, Jordan likes playing rugby, spending time with his friends, and competing in Xbox tournaments.

Hannah Orridge

Executive Assistant

Hannah joined ECS Group in 2019 as an Executive Assistant working closely with the managing director, the business development team and our wider supplier network.

She started her career as an Interior Designer, and during the 7 years working in this field she became an all-rounder in the business gaining experience in Project Management, Budgeting, business management and management accounting, as well as the design side.

“Although I love working in the fast-paced design environment, I felt the need to have more of a work life balance. Therefore, I decided to take my career in a different direction and focus on the management and accounting side of business.

When this opportunity came up in ECS Group, I knew it was the right thing to do.”

At the end of 2020, Hannah welcomed a little girl Evie and has recently returned part time following her maternity leave.

Outside of work Hannah loves to take Evie to her baby classes, spend time with friends and family and to have cuddles with her kitten Bugsie!
